Top 10 Safety in the Workplace tips:

BE SAFE – BE AWARE – TAKE CARE

Workplace safety cannot exist on best practice guidelines and policies alone. A safe working environment is based on how well the people, in both management and on the factory floor, adhere to — and communicate about — safety standards.

1. Be aware of your surroundings.
2. Keep correct posture to protect your back.
3. Take regular breaks.
4. Use tool and machinery correctly.
5. Keep emergency exits clear at ALL time.
6. Use mechanical aids whenever possible.
7. Immediately report unsafe conditions to a supervisor.
8. Stay sober.
9. Reduce workplace stress.
10. Wear the correct safety equipment.

5 Tips for interviews

Be yourself – act naturally, the interviewer wants to get to know you.

Don’t be afraid to take time to collect your thoughts and think of your best example to fit the question before speaking.

It’s OK to ask questions – remember it’s a two-way conversation.

It’s also OK to ask the interviewer to repeat a question, or clarify your understanding of what you are being asked.

If you are unsure about whether your example is what the interviewer was looking for, at the end of your response check with the interviewer that you have answered their question

StaffLink and Headcount Group supporting Charities

“We know Christmas cards are lovely
We know that they raise a smile
But with your support and understanding
We’d like to give the money to a cause worthwhile”

We would like to wish all our clients a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Our practice is not to send Christmas Cards but to donate to charities that require constant support

This Christmas, StaffLink Recruitment and the wider Headcount Group is delighted to continue supporting MS Ireland and Focus Ireland. These 2 charities continue to work tirelessly to help those more in need and offer hope to all those affected here in Ireland.

Who are the charities:

MS Ireland – Multiple Sclerosis Ireland is the only national organisation providing information, support and advocacy services to the MS community

Focus Ireland – Over 3000 children are homeless tonight and they urgently need your help. Focus Ireland help families, young people and children at risk or affected by homelessness.
